Week 9 - No more sleep overs

Clay still remains in super good spirits but said that this past week was REALLY boring.  They were only able to get 3 lessons in and the only service project they had was their weekly visit to the zoo.  Which by the way, is just like Willow park for all of you that are from Cache Valley.  So not really a zoo, but more of a place where they keep some local wildlife.   He also said it was extra boring because they just put a stop to the missionaries sleeping over at each other's apartments.   He said that means they can't really hang out with the other missionaries as much because they won't have enough gas.

I get both side of this. I get that they want the missionaries to focus on the work, but I also get that we are in the middle of a pandemic (in which they are super strict there) and they really don't have much to do.  They can only study and listen to talks so much.

He said that they literally sent a text to every single member in their branch and asked if they could give them a lesson or serve them in some way.  He giggled and said....NOT 1 SINGLE PERSON RESPONDED.  That is crazy to me, not one single member responded to them.  This is defiantly changing my attitude towards my lack of involvement with missionaries here.  So much that I reached out to our missionaries and asked if they would like to come help us with a service project.  They ghosted me so...I guess it can go both ways.  I told Clay not to ever do that LOL.

To help with their boredom, I had a amazon order go to them with 4 different games they could play while stuck in their apartment.

When we spoke to him this week, he was wearing this shirt that he was so proud of.  They love to shop patio's closet.  This shirt is 2 sizes too big but he got it anyway.    HIs uncle Kellen would be proud of it.

They weeks do kind of go by fast but the months are VERY slow for me.  I love that we get to talk to him every week.  I can't imagine when this wasn't allowed.  I feel like it helps build our family stronger along with him building stronger as a missionary.  It is defiantly a blessing.
