Week 16 - Tighter restrictions
The week was better because Clay got to stay busy. Minnesota was in the 70's all week so the missionaries were able to lots of service outside.
But because of the election this week, they had a curfew of 5:00pm everyday, so that was a little hard.
They don't want the Missionaries playing football or basketball on their P-Days right now because they are contact sports and it's too dangerous because of covid. Below is a picture of the boys playing some kick-ball. I'm glad they got to get out and at least do something.
This next week will be hard because Clay and his companion will be without transportation for the entire week because they car will be in the shop. (someone backed into them in the parking lot) Clay said they were going to try to borrow some other missionaries bikes.
Clay asked that I send him some workouts that he can do while being in his apartment without much equipment. Clearly he is getting a little stir crazy. :-)
My mom heart is breaking a bit as we get closer to the Holidays. Clay said Transfers are the day after Thanksgiving so if he gets transfer he will be packing on Thanksgiving. He also said that no one has signed up for feeding the Missionaries on Thanksgiving so they may not get to eat the traditional feast anyways. (I may have to figure something out if that is still the case when the Holiday gets closer)
I just keep hoping that some miracle will happen where the boys will be able to get out and experience the way a Mission use to be. I hope that Clay will get the opportunity to at least give a lesson to a non-member. The unknown is just a bit scary these days.
As always, Clay stays in pretty good spirits and is always optimistic. He's birthday is on November 30th and he will be turning 19...crazy times. Oh how I miss that boy in our home!
